Compa Privacy Policy

Compa ("we", "us") is a fitness friendship and connection app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Compa you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider. Apple users may choose to hide their email; we receive the relay address instead.
• Profile information you provide. Your first name, age, gender, city, gym, workout preferences, interests, bio, and the photos you upload. Your profile (excluding your email and exact birth date) is visible to other Compa users.
• Connections and messages. Who you connect with or pass on, and the messages you exchange with your connections. Messages are visible only to you and the person you're chatting with.
• Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can notify you about new connections and messages.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show third-party ads or share your data with ad networks.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not collect your precise location.

How your information is used

We use your information solely to operate Compa: showing your profile to potential gym partners, matching you with people you've mutually connected with, delivering messages, and sending the notifications you've enabled.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, in secured databases with row-level access controls — your messages and account details are readable only by you and (for messages) the person you're talking to. Photos you upload to your profile are publicly addressable so they can be displayed in the app.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data (profile, photos, connections, messages), contact us at the email below and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Age requirement

Compa is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and note the new date above.
